I enjoyed both the videos and what a marvellous aid the 'rocking horse' is! If you were doing the exercises on your own, does the horse operate by a motor - how does one start the movement without someone else being there? Very well explained Jane - simple and definitely understandable! Thanks you Sue
I am a relative novice rider and this video is so helpful in explaining 'the basics'. No-one has ever really told me this stuff and it is going to make a huge difference to my riding. I will be practising later today. Thanks so much Jane! I find your videos and information SO useful and inspirational!
I love how Jane breaks things down into the very simple. This is great for understanding the mechanics of the seat and makes you think. I will definitely be using this information.
Having gotten back into riding after several years of only occasional rides, I find myself stuck in a walk-trot mode. When I have cantered, I found my legs seeming loose. After watching the video, I realized that I am probably not following with my hips and keeping that area loose. Hopefully this will break me out of walk-trot mode and get me back to cantering which I use to love to do.
I have problems sometimes sitting the trot. It gets unbalanced and very hard to stear the horse. Now I can think about this exercises, and Im sure they will help me get passed this issue. I´m courious about the saddle you use on the rocking horse, is it a Wintec Isabell Werth?
thank you thank you thank you jane. i rescue horses in the bahamas where hay is $4o per bale and being able to attend and update myself on teaching and training is financially difficult. your videos have been so helpful i feel like i have been to a teaching and training course. they have helped me to better explain things to my students and the difference in the horses movements and interest in being ridden is amazing. hopefully one day i will be able to afford an equicizer. they certainly appear to be worth their weight in gold. thanks so much again. you have one grateful teacher, 7 much happier horses and 12 more capable students. we are most appreciative
Brilliant as normal jane ... as you know I love evrything that you do and I am so grateful for all your help . You have improved my riding so much and my horses say thankyou to !!!!!!
I recently have purchased a 41/2 yr old Thoroughbred who is really very green. After watching these videos, I have been able to relax and get more loose and flexable in my hips. I have a tendancy to get stiff and tense, which I realize is counter-productive while training my green horse. This exercise machine is a great way to build core strength and flexability without affecting the horse. I think this Rocking Horse machine would be great to use when my horse is layed up and also when I want to improve my seat and loosen up before I ride.
Another great teaching video Jane, Thank you. You make so simple what others make so complex! How very generous of you to share so freely. It is certainly appreciated...and I am sure that horses all over appreciate the benefits of your lessons. You Kaitlyn and Rocky have given a lot to a lot of us, and I for one thank you.
Love these lessons- they help me advance my dressage knowledge without having the option of a dressage trainer at hand. I would love to have the ability to train under Jane on a daily basis. What a wonderful teacher!
Thank you so much for providing such wonderful videos, and such clear explanations, Jane.
I practiced the elastic arms today at a walk and at a trot. My usually slow horse seemed to love it. We not only walked at a good clip, but once we both got used to the elastic arms at a trot, I found it far easier than usual to maintain gait.
Thanks! I hold a great deal of tension in my neck at all times but I never understood how this was impeding the action of my hips. I look forward to sitting the trot tomorrow.
Hi Jayne, thankyou once again for teaching us all to be better and kinder riders to our horses, i will now go with all the knowlege that you have given me to my pupils and i feel this will be of such a benifit to myself and their riding in the future. you are a true inspiration to me and i look forward to your videos and teaching so very much, thankyou . alex oatley
Splendid, and ever informative in the basics. Always welcome the basics in my riding, as well as the teaching I do. You've made this very simple, and I'll keep your tips in mind. Thanks so much Jane for another brilliant video!!
Jane, thank you so much for sharing your insights and expertise!! I always learn a lot from you and I appreciate your time and effort. The Equisizer looks like a fantastic training tool!
I've been struggling with the contact issue...can't wait to try thes exercizes. All videos were well done and broken down into easily digestable points. Well Done!!!
